The Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center) is celebrating the arena’s 25th anniversary and a history marked with countless milestone moments including nail-biting championship wins, record-breaking concerts and unforgettable Grammy Awards performances. As the only arena in the United States home to four major professional sports franchises—including two NBA teams, one WNBA team, and an NHL team, this iconic venue celebrated its legacy with a massive, nine-figure renovation. Led by AEG and designed by Gensler, the four-year transformation introduced cutting-edge technology and expanded premium spaces to completely reimagine the fan experience, wrapping up just in time for the 2025-2026 NBA and NHL seasons.
The crown jewel of the Phase 3 renovations, completed in late 2024, is the spectacular Cityview Terrace. Once an underutilized area, it has been brilliantly reborn as a premier indoor-outdoor lounge offering sweeping panoramic views of the Downtown Los Angeles skyline.

Approaching the terrace from the bar, visitors are greeted by a soaring 22-foot-tall by 119-foot-wide structural glass wall, custom-engineered by Sentech Architectural Systems. Utilizing Sentech’s VetraFin-S steel wall system, the installation boasts elegantly simple lines and minimal connections, completely devoid of visible exterior hardware. It can be used on walls over 100-feet tall with mid-span bracing and on walls up to 60-feet tall without mid-span bracing. This system can be used with monolithic, laminated or insulated glass for a wide variety of applications, including curved façades and overhead solutions.
The result is a striking glass facade that effortlessly dissolves the boundary between the indoor and outdoor environment. By blending world-class engineering with visionary design, the space creates a quintessential Los Angeles rooftop atmosphere that connects fans not just to the thrill of the game, but to the vibrant pulse of the surrounding city life.
