Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the iconic AT&T Stadium underwent a landmark $295 million renovation, its most significant since opening in 2009. This ambitious project, led by original builders Manhattan Construction and architects HKS, Inc., involved a complete reimagining of the stadium’s luxury spaces. Sentech Architectural Systems was selected for a strategically located and visually stunning element of this renovation: the engineering and supply of monumental, back-lit structural glass columns in the Main Concourse, Silver and Event Levels.
A signature feature of the renovated suite corridors is the installation of 32 towering, 30-foot back-lit structural glass columns, which serve as both a primary design feature and a testament to modern glass engineering. While appearing as monolithic columns of light, they are sophisticated structural systems designed for beauty, safety, and performance. The dazzling illumination of the columns is made possible by the white gold metal mesh interlayer laminated within the glass. The metallic mesh acts as a sophisticated light diffuser – it breaks and scatters the internal back-lighting, preventing harsh glare and creating an even, ambient glow while enhancing the high-end feel of the club and suite levels.
This project continues a legacy of collaboration between Sentech and AT&T Stadium that began in 2009 with the engineering and system supply of the interior glass partitions for the original premium suites. Sentech’s consistent delivery of cutting-edge, reliable, and aesthetically bold structural glass solutions has positioned Sentech to partner with architects, glaziers, GC’s and owners on some of the world’s most iconic venues.
